Re: Billy's contribution to On the Turn

I remember reading an interview with the band a while back (it will be on the web somewhere) and when asked about the part that Billy played in the recording of OTT they answered "A big part".....or something along those lines. I'd be surprised if he didn't make some contribution (either writing or ...

Re: Kerbdog Live Kilkenny Aug 23rd

Glad you enjoyed the gig Goatboy. I certainly wish I could've made it too. I've never been to Kilkenny before either - but hopefully one day for another Dog show (Kerbdog that is, not Crufts). Put my mind at rest will ya....are you half-goat-half-boy? Or perhaps merely a boy who was raised by a herd...

Re: new project 1st song uploaded

Yeah, I know what you mean about trying to find a good distorted but clear sound. It's a constant search really! Each of your instruments will use different frequencies in its range. Eg. the guitars use a different range than the bass, which is different from the vocals etc etc. (But there are some ...

Re: Trust Company

yeah i really like them. they have an awesome sound but it gets old and all the songs start to blend together if you listen to them for too long. other than that i think both albums are brilliant. Yeah, I agree - the songs can sound very similar in places. But I go through a phase evey once in a wh...

Re: new project 1st song uploaded

Nice work dude, it's catchy and has a nice groove - I like it.

On the constructive side, I think the vocals could be a bit more prominent in the mix and the guitars could maybe benefit from some EQ tweaking. But ultimately it's your baby and I guess you know what sounds you're looking for.

Same with the Hammer

After watching the excellent video of Same With The Hammer (live from TBMC February 2005) it got me thinking, does anyone know the lyrics to the song? It's one of my all time dog tunes.....simple riff, but oh so brutal. Here's the video clip on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=130...

Re: kd tune at first reunion

'Same with the Hammer' was the one that I was thinking it could be....cos it's not typically on the set list.

Battle is known for being a little sarcastic at times too, so I wouldn't be surprised if he introduced it as a "new one".

Are you sure it wasn't an old b-side or something, that you might not've heard before?

Re: Kerbdog Videos - The Village

Just a polite (and hopeful?) request.... ;D Does anyone have the knowledge/ability/time or inclination to convert any dog videos into an iPod friendly format? I've been meaning to do some for a while now, but never got around to it (mainly cos I don't have any suitable software or enough time to do ...

Here's an update from their Myspace page: "Small Town America Records will be making an exclusive batch of 500 copies of Fighting With Wire's forthcoming single (which I can't tell you the name of yet!). Every single one of the very limited edition singles will be unique because YOU will send us the...

Re: The nightmare before christmas DVD.

The DVD production was organised by a guy on here called Dave (username: DaveGefow), but he doesn't come around these parts any more. As I understand it, the filming/production was approved by the band as a "not for profit" venture for the benefit of the fans. I suppose officially you should approac...

Hmm, yeah - I think the blue strat with rosewood neck looks a bit shit. But I guess it's what you do with it that counts!
