Hypothetical hits - a Kerbdog retrospective
Okay, something Battle said got my brain whirring. If you had to design the track list for “greatest hits of Kerbdog”, what would it contain? What would you call the album? Assumptions 1) there is no new material, 2) B-Sides must represent a proportion of the listing, 3) you’re limited to a maximum of 14 tracks. Other than that, go wild!!
Mine would be either “Hypothetical hits” or “Kerbgods : a retrospective”
1. End of green
2. Dry Riser
3. Dummy crusher
4. Earthworks (demo)
5. Xenophobia
6. Self inflicted
7. Same with the Hammer
8. Sally
9. Mexican Wave
10. JJ’s song
11. Hard to live
12. Gridlock
13. Dyed in the wool
14. New day rising (Husker Du)
The last track is a big nod to one of Battle’s big influences. I included many of the rarer b-sides, though I dunno.
Another thought was - the Sally single is almost like the “lost” album. Sally + JJ’s song is album length (6 tracks from Sally + 2 from JJ’s song EP.)
Whaddyathink?
