"Its Official! The albums "Kerbdog" and "On The Turn" are being re-released this week on East World Records!!! Finally after 15 years somebody somewhere has seen sense. OTT and Kerbdog will be there for all for the foreseeable future. Wonder
what Mercury got for allowing this? Bet it didn't beat our offer in '97.. Either way, we're well happy about this development. If we can get the stars to collide and get the Live album released (there's a number of labels interested) this year, that would be 3 official KD releases. Not too shabby. I think its just a CD re-release from what I've seen on the publishers site, and welcome to the site

Anyone seen these in the shops? I have seen some of the other re releases by this label in HMV (Stabbing Westward, which I'll probably buy, and 100 Reasons) so no doubt they'll show up on the shelves soon.

Has anyone else bought a copy of the reissued On The Turn yet?

I bought a copy from Amazon, but one thing I noticed was that the print quality of the inlay cover really sucks! The lyrics and other words are printed fine....but all the images are oversaturated and blurry.

I compared it side by side to my original copy, and the print quality of the new one is nowhere near. The new one almost looks like a pirate copy.

Overall I guess it's the music that counts (not the packaging). But still, I was pretty disappointed and I was almost gonna send it back. Maybe there's just a dodgy batch and I've got one of them.

Has anyone else noticed the same?

I work in the print trade, and from how you describe it, it sounds like the new edition inlay has been printed on a digital press rather than an old school litho press. I'm getting them this weekend, so when I see it I'll be able to tell.

When your at it, could you check the disc itself to see if it differs in anyway in terms of running length etc? Prob just a copy of the orignal press I guess

Will check the disc Phily, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary from listening to it. The image printed on the disc is different though.

Just got back from buying them from HMV. I see what you mean about the printing. It almost looks as if they have been reprinted by using a (not very good) scan from the original cover rather than the original print artwork. The On The Turn one is really bad. Really bright and over saturated and blurry right enough!

Aww, seems like a half arsed reproduction...thats a pity, wouldn't br surprised if they used the artwork from the Media Gallery on this site
