that sounds kinda rite. but theres the main chorus riff (the ringing guitar) which i can t figure out.
Any idea what the intro is to JJ

that main chorus riff is bugging me.....it's quite hard to pick it out as well, because of the prominent bass.

Damn, I've never even heard any of that I don't think... I'm in San Francisco too with no guitar...

The chorus riff I play is just the power chord (on the E string fret) 7 - 4 - 6 - 0 is it?

God I dunno, this is all from memory and I'm standing in an imac shop playing air guitar to try and remember... I must look like a freak!!!

imacs are cool!!

And I've been frequenting internet cafes and paying for this up 'til now...

Anyways, now I'm waffling. I won't have a guitar for a month and I don't have On the Turn with me, so someone work it out please, for my peace of mind please!!!

Oh yeah, the intro is just an octave up in't it? Similar chord shape to a helmet one, but on the 14th Fret...

may i just point out that a lot of guitar tracks were put on on the turn, in a lot pf places the guitars contrast each other'(3 diffrent guitars playing diffrent notes/chords)prob how they got the sound so good,however u notice the diffrence when there playing live.hope that sheds a bit of light on the subject,i know my self i could never duplicate the songs on guitar excatly right.

Fabulous Pic, Dave. Considering the discussion in this thread, do you reckon some of us who are of the instrument playing persuasion will be able to fill in a few blanks from looking at Cormac on the DVD? ie from what you've seen so far, is there much approaching the quality of that pic of Colin that we could pick up CBs chords/riffs from? If there is, that would be fantastic

yeah - its "Didnt Even Try" - was my hint a bit too obvious??

but yeah im 4 songs in on the rough cut of the DVD (on pledge) - that picture was taken from the main (master) Camera - so there will be a good bit of CB from that angle.

I only try to figure out the main bits anyway... Being the ex guitarist in a 3 piece, I can only usually be arse to learn the main riffs...

Sweet! Sounds like it's gonna be awesome! I can just imagine me sitting in front of the tv, pausing, turning my head upside down and saying "so that's what he's playing there!"
