So who here has the setup to record this in high quality? I could find a radio but I fear it would sound crap :(

If I was at home, I would be able to record it over digital radio......but alas, I'm in the USA at the moment :(

Will have to listen over the internet stream from 2FM.

Can anyone else record it? If you have Sky Digital in the UK, you can pick up 2FM on channel 917 I think......so you could record direct from the audio outputs of your Sky box.
I dance to all the wrong songs. I enjoy all the wrong moves...

Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is what I (very) successfully use. I would do it but I'm in England with Telewest, and I can't get 2FM on cable! :(
Thanks

I really like Cool Edit.......it was one of the original studio quality music recording software that was available on the PC.

I started using it in about 1998 and I still use it now.....although it was bought out by Adobe a few years ago and is now known as Adobe Audition.

I've not got the latest version of Audition, but it's still a great piece of kit.

I don't know how it compares to some of the other, maybe more popular, alternatives on the market (PropellerHeads, Cakewalk etc).....but I've always found it to be very powerful but simplistic at the same time.

PLEASE!

someone out there HAS to have the time and equipment to record it!
seriously: none of us freaks can afford to miss that, right?!

an mp3 download from this site later on would be great, a lossless version would be ace, though!

recording it via internet stream sucks sort of...

c'mon, get it, someone!

we need every recording available...

:)

guys i dont want to burst thy buble here but most of us will already have this on CD:

these are the B-sides for the mexican wave singles: ie. dry riser, secure end of green, sally, pledge, on the turn - live from the point.

this was recorded in 1996 but is copyrighted by RTE in 1997.

----------------------------------------------

its cool anyway.

 BTW - im 99.9% sure this is what is gonna be played but 'ya never know with the dog around'.

I will be recording this to a high quality format from Digital TV/Radio.
Never know Dave, gona record it anywho.

Update: turns out that the few quid I spent on a big soundcard has paid off :) sound is 1000 times better than if recorded with my lappy. Stay tuned (heh) to get the recording, that is if its any different to what we already have.

The song (only one song was played tonight) was Mexican Wave. A version I don't think I have heard before. A 2FM studio recording. Wonder will I be about to record the rest?
Anywho, expect to see this in the Media Gallery in the next few min, then Phily sleep...
