I recently found a cool new website called Music Radar (www.musicradar.com) which is aimed at musicians.

It offers some good reviews for new gear, plus tutorials (eg. guitar, drums) and a user forum. The site's still in its BETA version, but when it's fully finished it will be offering a "musician finder" system, where you can search for musicians to work with either locally or worldwide.
